SOC Operator

About the role

The Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator will join Griffin Risk’s SOC team in Canelones, Uruguay. Working on‑site full‑time, you will monitor security systems, identify anomalies and support incident response under senior guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor alerts from multiple security tools and dashboards.
• Perform initial triage, assess severity and prioritize events.
• Document incidents, maintain accurate logs and escalation records.
• Support senior analysts in incident response activities.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to report findings.
• Participate in shift coverage and adhere to strict operational protocols.
• Assist in the rollout of new security tools, playbooks and process improvements.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and monitoring abilities in a SOC environment.
• Good understanding of security and cybersecurity fundamentals, common threats and vulnerabilities.
• Ability to follow documented procedures and produce clear reports.
• Effective communication in English (advanced) and teamwork skills.
• Reliability for on‑site, shift‑based work with punctuality.
• Relevant education or certifications (e.g., Computer Science, Information Security, CompTIA Security+).
• High ethical standards, confidentiality and collaborative mindset.
