Senior Software Engineer (Staff Software Engineer)

About the role

Sportradar, a global sports technology company at the intersection of sports, media and betting, is growing its team of engineers in Montevideo to work alongside its US-based product and engineering teams. The Sports Media Team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys solving problems, building cloud-native solutions and thriving on cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, test and deploy cloud-native solutions used by enterprise customers, supporting billions of calls per month and hundreds of millions of TV viewers.
• Work on a cross-functional team with Product, Engineering, Design and DevOps to deliver the team's core mission.
• Partner with architecture and external development teams to design services with clear separation of concerns, and take part in pull and merge request reviews.
• Advocate for speed, scale, security and maintainability of the team's applications through best practices.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and foster collaboration and best practices in the software development lifecycle.

Required profile

• At least 4 years of solid experience in professional software development.
• Experience with SaaS in Agile environments.
• Proficiency with SQL, NoSQL and in-memory stores at scale.
• Advanced English to collaborate with US teams in meetings and pair programming.
• Registered in the National Register of People with Disabilities (Law 19.691) and meeting the conditions and suitability for the position.
