Senior Software Engineer - Python/Golang - Kubernetes

About the role

Canonical is seeking a senior software engineer to join its Kubernetes product team. You will build operators and addons that provide lifecycle management and zero‑ops integration for mission‑critical components, working with the latest Kubernetes features and open‑source technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with other leads, sharing responsibility for team, department and company outcomes.
• Mentor and advise colleagues on career progression.
• Write high‑quality code to develop new features and debug issues.
• Engage with the vibrant open‑source community.
• Work remotely while traveling 2‑4 weeks per year for internal and external events.

Required profile

• Proficient Golang developer who is also fluent in Python.
• Experience working with Kubernetes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, STEM or a related field.
• Passion for technology and collaboration with brilliant people.
