Senior QA Engineer

About the role

Plan A Technologies is seeking a Senior QA Engineer with a strong passion for mobile gaming. You will join a dedicated QA team responsible for ensuring the quality and stability of free‑to‑play, live‑operated mobile titles through frequent updates, events, and feature releases.

Key responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive manual testing for new features, live‑ops events, game updates and production releases.
• Create, maintain, and run test cases and regression suites using TestRail.
• Perform Smoke, Regression, Integration, Exploratory, Sanity, End‑to‑End and Ad‑Hoc testing throughout the development lifecycle.
• Validate gameplay systems, player progression, balancing, marketplace, in‑app purchases, leaderboards and player accounts.
• Report, document and track defects in Jira with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
• Collaborate with developers, producers and the QA lead to investigate issues, validate fixes and assess release risks.
• Test across multiple mobile devices, screen resolutions, aspect ratios and network conditions.
• Support automation efforts using BrowserStack, AltTester and maintain automated test suites when required.
• Use the Unity Editor for debugging, log inspection and feature validation.
• Participate in release validation and post‑release verification to ensure production stability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Game QA, preferably on mobile titles.
• Hands‑on experience testing free‑to‑play (F2P) mobile games and live operations.
• Proven ability to execute manual testing throughout the full software development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with Agile development environments.

Required skills

• TestRail (or similar test management tool)
• Jira and Confluence
• BrowserStack and AltTester (or similar testing platforms)
• Basic knowledge of the Unity Editor and C# concepts
• Understanding of Android (Google Play Console) and iOS (App Store Connect) testing and release processes
