Senior iOS Software Engineer – Remote Contractor (LatAm)

About the role

Compass is seeking a Senior iOS Software Engineer to lead the redesign of its System Designs framework. This remote, contractor‑based position supports the real‑estate technology platform that powers buying and selling experiences for millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Audit and re‑think the existing System Designs framework used by 20+ iOS developers.
• Design and implement new UI components iteratively in an agile, startup‑like environment.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to align design system decisions with product goals.
• Mentor junior engineers, enforce best practices, and ensure operational excellence.
• Provide ongoing support and enhancements to the design system after release.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior iOS engineer, preferably in a large‑scale, consumer‑facing app.
• Strong track record of leading technical initiatives and influencing engineering teams.
• Ability to work autonomously, make pragmatic trade‑offs, and deliver high‑quality code.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders across the organization.
