Senior Fullstack Engineer (Golang/React) - Remote

About the role

Kake is a remote-first company and a global community of senior engineers. It is looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join a high-scale product engineering team that builds and evolves critical user experiences used by millions of users worldwide. You will work across the stack, developing scalable backend services and modern frontend applications, and collaborate closely with product, design, platform and infrastructure teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Golang.
• Develop and optimize distributed systems supporting high-volume, mission-critical workloads.
• Build and enhance user-facing applications with React, Next.js and GraphQL.
• Design and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS focused on scalability, reliability and performance.
• Work with data and messaging systems such as MongoDB, Snowflake, Kafka, SQS and Airflow.
• Deploy, monitor and maintain production services on Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with product, design, frontend, platform and infrastructure teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Improve platform observability, reliability and operational excellence through automation and performance optimization.
• Participate in architectural discussions and troubleshoot complex production issues.

Required profile

• Strong experience building high-performance, scalable applications with Golang and modern frontend technologies.
• Professional experience building frontend applications with React.js, Next.js and GraphQL.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices and event-driven systems.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, SQS, Airflow, MongoDB and/or Snowflake.
• Proven track record of reliable systems in high-traffic, large-scale environments.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment and communicate well in English.
• Nice to have: recommendation systems, personalization engines or search infrastructure; developer platforms and internal tooling; large-scale consumer products; experience improving platform reliability and uptime.
