Senior Front-end Engineer – HTS Stays & Packages (Remote, Uruguay)

About the role

Join Hopper Technology Solutions' Stays & Packages team to shape travel‑booking experiences for global partners. As a senior front‑end engineer you will design, build, and scale high‑performance UI components for hotels, alternative stays, and bundled travel packages.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with top‑tier engineers in a low‑process, autonomous environment.
• Drive technical decisions and consensus asynchronously through clear documentation.
• Ship new features rapidly, iterating from UX design to database integration.
• Architect scalable front‑end solutions that enable fast launch of new partner portals.
• Work directly with product managers and business partners to define and refine the roadmap.
• Provide cross‑functional feedback and mentorship within a diverse team.

Required profile

• Deep expertise in React using functional components, hooks, server‑side rendering, hydration, and advanced state management.
• Proficiency in TypeScript for enterprise‑scale applications.
• Advanced CSS skills, including Tailwind, SCSS, CSS‑in‑JS, animations, and handling browser quirks.
• Familiarity with modern front‑end tooling such as React Query/TanStack, design‑token styling, and build tools like Vite.
• Experience with monorepo setups (Turbo, Nx, pnpm workspaces) is a plus.
• Strong fundamentals in performance, accessibility, responsive design, testing, and maintainability.
