Senior Data & Integration Engineer - Incident Management Platform

About the role

Coderio is looking for a Senior Data & Integration Engineer to design and deliver its new centralized Incident Management Platform (Vantage). The role bridges production backend systems, operational tools and cloud data platforms, connecting alerting tools, Jira and LLM-powered AI agents directly into a Databricks lakehouse so that incident lifecycles become reliable, auditable and well-governed data products. The contract starts at 3 months and can be extended to 6 months.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain production-grade API and webhook integrations linking alerting systems, Jira Cloud/JSM and internal services with the data platform.
• Implement Jira AI-agent integrations with tool calling, structured outputs, auditable write-backs and human-in-the-loop approval workflows.
• Build robust, incremental data pipelines into Databricks (Delta Lake, PySpark, SQL) ingesting from AWS S3, with idempotency, schema evolution and reconciliation.
• Design curated datasets for SRE and operational metrics (MTTD, MTTR, incident coverage, recurring-issue analysis) with documented data lineage, access controls and retention policies.
• Own testing suites, failure recovery and backfill procedures, and operational runbooks for a smooth handover to internal operations.

Required profile

• 5+ years in Data Engineering or Backend Integration Engineering, with a proven track record of production-grade data pipelines and services.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Delta Lake and PySpark/Spark SQL in production environments.
• Experience building REST APIs, webhooks and lightweight backend services in Python (FastAPI, Flask) with authentication, retries, rate-limiting and idempotency.
• Hands-on experience with AWS S3 and IAM.
• Practical experience integrating LLMs/AI agents with human-in-the-loop validation, tool calling and audit logging.
• Strong background in Git, CI/CD automation, automated testing and operational documentation.
• Advanced professional English, written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Direct Jira Cloud / Jira Service Management API and webhook integration experience.
• Data governance tools such as Databricks Unity Catalog, row/column masking and PII protection.
• SRE/incident metrics (MTTR, MTTD) and observability tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic).
• Fintech, payment or regulated data backgrounds.
