Senior Data Engineer

About the role

At SunnyData we help customers on their data journey, building scalable architectures and AI‑enabled analytics. As a Senior Data Engineer you will design, build and deploy data solutions that support machine learning, business intelligence and data‑driven insights.

Key responsibilities

• Support new and existing customers by understanding their data engineering needs and guiding technical decisions.
• Design, build and operationalize complex data pipelines, apply transformations, and ensure data quality and governance.
• Analyze data sources, recommend inclusion in analytical processes, and troubleshoot issues across multiple accounts.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering and data product development.
• Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and communication skills in English.
• Intermediate leadership ability and proven self‑motivation for personal growth.

Required skills

• Data engineering technologies: Spark, Hadoop, Kafka.
• Data science tools: pandas, scikit‑learn, hyperparameter optimization (HPO).
• Data warehousing and SQL (OLTP/OLAP/DSS).
• Data governance, security and quality practices.
• Public cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP (nice to have).
• Databricks certification (nice to have).
