Job description
About the role
Truelogic is seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead the design, modeling, ingestion, and optimization of a large‑scale Snowflake and dbt platform for a market research client. This hands‑on position transforms raw S3 event data into reliable core tables and dimensional marts that support analytics and data science.
Key responsibilities
- Design and build scalable core tables and incremental dbt models for billion‑row datasets using merge, clustering, and idempotent reprocessing.
- Implement identity‑resolution solutions for merged identities, late‑arriving data, and duplicate events.
- Develop fact and dimension marts and define approved datasets for BI developers, analysts, and data scientists.
- Engineer reliable ingestion pipelines from Amazon S3 to Snowflake using Snowpipe, stages, storage integrations, and COPY INTO.
- Partner with software engineers to define event‑driven delivery patterns, data contracts, and columnar formats such as Parquet.
- Administer Snowflake environments, including role‑based access control, security policies, integrations, and warehouse configuration.
- Monitor pipeline stability, load failures, data freshness, and optimize performance and cost through clustering, materialization, and query profiling.
Required profile
- 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Analytics Engineering.
- 3+ years of hands‑on production experience with Snowflake.
- Expert‑level SQL skills and ability to solve complex modeling and performance challenges.
- Advanced data‑modeling expertise, including dimensional modeling and handling semi‑structured data.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Required skills
- Snowflake (RBAC, Snowpipe, stages, tasks, streams, clustering, cost management)
- dbt (incremental models, snapshots, macros, testing)
- SQL
- AWS services (S3, IAM, SNS, SQS)
- Python (code review)
- Parquet format
