Senior AI Engineer - Agentic AI Solutions

About the role

Promtior delivers Agentic AI solutions across three lines: AI product delivery, AI department as a service and AI adoption consulting. It is looking for a Senior AI Engineer with deep hands-on experience building agentic AI systems to join its Engineering team as a technical reference. This is a senior, client-facing position: you will own the technical direction of the agentic solutions end to end, make and defend architecture decisions in front of clients, and raise the technical level of the engineers around you.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of production-grade agentic AI systems, defining the architecture of autonomous agents, tool orchestration and retrieval pipelines, and choosing the right models, tools and trade-offs.
• Establish evaluation and quality practices (evals, guardrails, observability, cost and latency optimization) and ensure reliability in production.
• Act as the technical counterpart for clients, translating business problems into agentic solutions, running technical discovery and defending the approach with technical stakeholders.
• Mentor and unblock other engineers, review their work and drive the adoption of new AI technologies.
• Contribute to evolving the solutions toward more advanced ML components.

Required profile

• Advanced or completed studies in Systems Engineering, Data Science, AI or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years building and shipping agentic or LLM-based systems to production (not PoCs).
• Demonstrated experience as a technical reference: mentoring, code reviews and owning technical decisions.
• Experience working directly with clients or technical stakeholders.
• Good command of Git and advanced English.

Required skills

• Strong production-level Python.
• Designing agents and tool orchestration, with reliability, cost and latency considerations.
• RAG pipelines: chunking, retrieval, embeddings, vector databases and relevance measurement.
• APIs, backend services and cloud environments (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Especially valued: multi-agent systems and MCP, model evaluation frameworks and guardrails, model fine-tuning, MLOps, Docker, containers and CI/CD, NLP or text processing.
