Senior Accountant – Hospitality Industry

About the role

Howard Financial is seeking a proactive Senior Accountant to support its rapidly growing portfolio of hospitality clients. The role is client‑facing and demands ownership of month‑end and year‑end processes, strong internal controls, and the ability to manage multiple properties simultaneously.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the month‑end and year‑end close, preparing accurate P&L and Balance Sheet statements in compliance with US GAAP.
• Streamline balance‑sheet reconciliations and handle increasing volume as new clients are onboarded.
• Manage journal entries, financial reporting, and account reconciliations across multiple properties or client accounts.
• Utilize hospitality and accounting platforms to process daily financial data and improve workflow efficiency.
• Identify and implement process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and deliver clear financial information to client stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, property accounting, or outsourced accounting services.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, full‑cycle accounting, and financial reporting.
• Self‑starter with high accountability, able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
