Senior Accountant – Hospitality Industry

About the role

Howard Financial is seeking a Senior Accountant with hospitality expertise to lead month‑end and year‑end close processes for multiple client properties. The role supports accurate financial reporting, balance‑sheet optimization, and strong internal controls in a fast‑paced, client‑facing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Drive month‑end and year‑end close, preparing P&L and balance sheet statements in compliance with US GAAP.
• Streamline balance‑sheet reconciliations and manage increasing volume as new clients are onboarded.
• Handle journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting across multiple properties or client accounts.
• Integrate hospitality and accounting platforms to process daily financial data and improve workflow efficiency.
• Identify and implement process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and deliver clear financial information to client stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, property accounting, or outsourced accounting services.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, full‑cycle accounting, and financial reporting.
• Self‑starter with high accountability, able to work independently in a fast‑moving environment.
