Part‑Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Part‑Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide daily nursing care and support to residents in a residential care setting. The role involves direct interaction with residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and adherence to care plans.

Key responsibilities

• Identify residents using wristbands or photo cards before delivering treatments, meals, or assistance.
• Record observations, vital signs, and care activities accurately on flow sheets and charts.
• Report any changes in residents’ conditions, accidents, or incidents promptly to the Nurse Supervisor or Charge Nurse.
• Assist residents with personal care, mobility, dressing, and transferring between rooms or vehicles.
• Prepare resident rooms, make beds, and maintain a clean, welcoming environment.
• Monitor residents who cannot call for help, responding quickly to call lights and needs.
• Document food and fluid intake, and alert staff to changes in eating habits.
• Participate in shift hand‑overs, nursing reports, and regular team meetings to improve service quality.

Required profile

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential.
• Ability to follow established policies and procedures, including infection control.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to record information accurately.
• Excellent communication skills and respect for resident privacy (HIPAA).
• Physical ability to assist residents with transfers and mobility.

Required skills

• Measuring and recording vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration).
• Basic patient care techniques, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance.
• Use of resident identification tools (wristbands, photo cards).
