Operations Assistant – Skilled Nursing Facility

About the role

The Operations Assistant supports the Licensed Administrator in managing the day‑to‑day operations of a skilled nursing facility. Working closely with clinical leadership, the role helps ensure high‑quality patient care while maintaining regulatory compliance and fiscal responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Licensed Administrator in overseeing daily facility operations and patient care quality.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and clinical staff to support care delivery.
• Help develop and monitor marketing plans, census, and payor mix.
• Participate in budgeting, variance analysis, and financial health monitoring.
• Implement and monitor policies, procedures, and professional standards.
• Hold direct reports accountable and model the facility’s mission, vision, and values.
• Engage with community groups, local hospitals, and key leaders to build relationships.
• Track legal and regulatory changes affecting operations.
• Support staffing level requirements and facilitate appropriate staffing.
• Assist with HR issues, risk management, and capital improvement projects.
• Maintain a positive reputation within the industry and community.
