About the role

CoreX Uruguay is seeking an HR Lead to build and run the entire Human Resources function for its Montevideo operation. The role will be based in Montevideo with regular visits to the plant in Libertad, San José, and will report directly to the Managing Director.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement HR policies, processes, and documentation from scratch.
• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning.
• Process payroll, ensure compliance with BPS and MTSS obligations, and handle compensation and benefits.
• Oversee employee and labour relations, including the full Consejos de Salarios cycle.
• Maintain HR compliance, risk management, and reporting to both local leadership and CoreX Holding HR.
• Drive performance management, training, development, and organisational culture initiatives.
• Prepare HR budgets and support organisational growth.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on payroll processing experience and deep knowledge of Uruguayan labour legislation.
• Direct experience managing a Consejos de Salarios negotiation and implementation.
• Proven generalist background covering recruitment, compensation, employee relations, and HR administration.
• Experience establishing or improving HR processes and policies.
• Comfortable operating as the sole HR resource in a fast‑growing, entrepreneurial setting.
• Fluent Spanish and English (B2 level or higher).
