Java Developer

About the role

NetWitness is looking for a Java Developer to join its software engineering team. You will help design, build, and maintain security‑focused applications that enable customers to detect and respond to cyber threats in real time.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and architecture of new or re‑engineered software and storage environments.
• Prepare detailed software and storage specifications from architectural diagrams and documents.
• Create and review design, functional, technical, and user documentation as needed.
• Develop, review, and implement test strategies for software and storage products.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Java technology stack, focusing on architecture and design.
• Proficiency in Java programming, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, REST APIs, data structures, design patterns, Oracle Database, and PL/SQL.
• Experience with application servers, especially Tomcat.
• Familiarity with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ.
• Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments.
• Deep understanding of object‑oriented concepts and design‑pattern applicability.
