Java Application Architect – 2‑Month Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Java Application Architect to join Applaudo on a 2‑month contract. This hands‑on position focuses on troubleshooting, architecture reviews, and delivering immediate value to a development team facing critical challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Support the team in analyzing and resolving UAT defects, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable fixes.
• Review the current architecture and implementation to improve maintainability, scalability, and quality.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to the development team.
• Establish and reinforce best practices for coding, testing, deployments, and troubleshooting.
• Remove technical blockers, accelerate delivery, and improve team effectiveness.
• Collaborate with technical stakeholders to strengthen engineering quality and delivery outcomes.
• Promote sustainable engineering practices that enhance long‑term maintainability.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience as a Software Architect, Application Architect, Technical Lead, or similar role.
• Strong background with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• Proven experience troubleshooting and resolving production and UAT issues.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
