HR Specialist

About the role

Veta Virtual is seeking an HR Specialist to support a fast‑growing fintech and cryptocurrency client. The role is fully remote and focuses on the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to off‑boarding, while ensuring HR systems run smoothly and data remains accurate.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for employee questions on HR policies, procedures, and general employment matters.
• Coordinate onboarding activities, including paperwork, system setup, orientation scheduling, and first‑day logistics.
• Facilitate new‑hire orientation sessions and manage off‑boarding workflows, exit interviews, and final documentation.
• Administer Paylocity – configure employee records, security permissions, workflows, and troubleshoot system issues.
• Identify and implement improvements to HRIS processes in partnership with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Create recurring and ad‑hoc HR reports and dashboards to analyze headcount, turnover, hiring metrics, and organizational trends.
• Prepare executive‑ready presentations and PowerPoint decks for senior leadership meetings.
• Maintain employee personnel files and ensure compliance with U.S. employment laws, audit requirements, and government reporting (EEO‑1, labor surveys, census).
• Support managers with employee documentation, coaching conversations, and policy interpretation.

Required profile

• Organized, detail‑driven professional with a people‑first mindset.
• Experience managing the full employee lifecycle in a high‑growth environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to partner with managers and senior leaders.
• Familiarity with U.S. employment law compliance and HR reporting requirements.
