Full‑Time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

About the role

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides direct nursing care to residents of a long‑term care facility and supervises nursing assistants in daily activities. This full‑time position ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations while maintaining high‑quality resident care.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to residents and oversee day‑to‑day nursing assistant tasks.
• Ensure all nursing staff follow facility policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in shift planning, resident discharge planning, and quality‑assurance programs.
• Prepare and submit reports, incident forms, resident charge slips and daily census data.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges and maintain accurate medical documentation.
• Support facility inspections by government agencies and update departmental manuals as needed.

Required profile

• Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) certification.
• Experience in a long‑term care or similar healthcare setting.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate nursing assistants.
• Strong knowledge of applicable federal, state and local nursing regulations.
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
