Forward Deployed Salesforce Developer

About the role

Frontline is building an AI operating system for companies, centered on a CRM with objects, fields, relationships, views, permissions and automations. It is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) with a Salesforce background to work in Carrasco, Montevideo. This is a full-time, on-site role. As an FDE you work directly with customers to understand their businesses and solve problems with software and AI, designing data models, building applications, agents, automations and integrations, and helping shape the core platform.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to understand their businesses, systems, workflows and operational problems
• Design and evolve each customer's data model in Frontline: objects, fields, relationships, record types, views and permissions
• Identify high-impact opportunities where AI and software can change how customers operate
• Build and deploy applications, AI agents, automations, workflows and integrations using Frontline
• Move customer data and processes from Salesforce, HubSpot, spreadsheets and other systems into Frontline
• Integrate Frontline with customer systems, APIs, databases and third-party services
• Prototype solutions quickly, deploy them into production and iterate with users
• Turn patterns found in the field into reusable platform capabilities with product and engineering teams
• Help define how Forward Deployed Engineering works at Frontline as an early team member

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Ability to move quickly and work with significant autonomy
• Strong product intuition, excellent communication and customer-facing skills
• Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II, Application Architect) and experience with AI agents, LLMs or B2B software are a plus

Required skills

• Hands-on Salesforce development: custom objects and fields, Apex, SOQL, Flows, Lightning Web Components and the security model (profiles, permission sets, sharing rules)
• CRM data modeling and strong software engineering fundamentals
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Python or a similar language, or quick ability to learn new ones
• Experience with APIs, databases and integrations
• Comfortable using AI coding tools and agents in daily work
