Finance Executive – Accounts Payable (Oracle GFS)

About the role

Pacific International Lines is looking for a detail‑oriented Finance Executive focused on Accounts Payable to support the Oracle Global Financial System (GFS) rollout in Montevideo. The role combines implementation tasks with post‑Go‑Live operational finance duties, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and statutory accounting principles.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in configuration and functional testing of Oracle AP and GL modules.
• Validate localization settings for taxes, invoices, vendors and cost centres.
• Coordinate with outsourcing or offshore teams to resolve AP issues.
• Support monthly closing processes, AP reconciliations and vendor‑aging reports.
• Monitor cost allocation compliance and document workflows, SOPs and testing traceability for audit readiness.
• Participate in PB1 and UAT cycles, handling defect resolution.
• Post‑Go‑Live stabilization: hyper‑care activities, end‑user training and ongoing support.
• Execute operational finance tasks across AP and reporting using Oracle GFS.
• Perform accurate month‑end closings, reconciliations and AP sub‑ledger processing.
• Ensure tax declarations and compliance with local reporting obligations.
• Maintain process documentation, support audits and collaborate with LARO and HQ finance teams for performance reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Cost Control or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of finance operations experience in an ERP environment (Oracle or SAP).
• Familiarity with AP, GL and Tax modules.
• Previous experience in accounting, tax, controlling or external audit within shipping or logistics.
• Bilingual: native Spanish and proficient English.
