Finance Business Partner – Vegetables Americas

About the role

Syngenta is seeking a Finance Business Partner to lead P&S Finance for the Americas Vegetables portfolio. Based in Montevideo, you will act as the primary finance liaison for field production, plant operations, quality control and distribution across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Own month‑end close for Americas Vegetables P&S, ensuring accurate accruals, cost allocations and timely sign‑off.
• Drive monthly management reporting, forecasting and variance analysis for the regional leadership team.
• Lead budgeting, standard costing and cost‑target setting in partnership with business managers.
• Support internal audits, control remediation and maintain the Delegation of Authority matrix.
• Identify and implement process and system improvements, providing ad‑hoc analysis for strategic decisions.
• Develop and mentor the Americas Financial Analyst, setting clear priorities and fostering capability growth.
• Promote adoption of AI tools, data visualization and predictive analytics across the finance function.

Required profile

• Strong finance background with experience in agricultural or manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to lead month‑end close, budgeting and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication skills to influence regional leadership and cross‑regional teams.
• Demonstrated experience guiding and developing junior finance talent.
