Credit Policy Senior Analyst Uruguay

About the role

Prex is seeking a senior analyst to design, implement and monitor credit policies for its consumer portfolio in Uruguay. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to drive growth and improve portfolio performance through data‑driven strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Design and monitor credit policies for the consumer loan portfolio.
• Conduct quantitative analysis of credit metrics such as delinquency, profitability, adoption and customer behavior, using segmentations and cohort analyses.
• Develop and evaluate A/B tests on different customer bases, quantify impact and optimize credit strategies.
• Coordinate back‑testing of predictive models and ensure model robustness.
• Prepare strategic reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and executive committees, acting as the go‑to expert on analytical and credit topics.
• Manage and optimise databases and analytical tools (SQL, Python, BI platforms).

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Statistics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in credit risk analysis and management, preferably in digital origination and consumer finance.
• Proven track record designing successful credit policies and leading process‑automation initiatives.
• Strong analytical mindset, proactive attitude and ability to adapt to a fast‑changing environment.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with interdisciplinary teams and presenting results to senior leadership.
