Cost Manager – Data Center Construction Projects

About the role
The Cost Manager will lead cost control and commercial management for data centre construction projects, supporting feasibility studies, design reviews and procurement processes.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct budget estimates and parametric cost analysis for feasibility studies.
- Prepare quantity take‑offs, BOQ cost breakdowns and detailed cost estimate reports for stakeholder review.
- Manage procurement, pre‑qualification, bid evaluation, negotiations and contract preparation.
- Oversee change control, value assessment, and change order processing through the client portal.
- Review and recommend interim and final payments, ensuring compliance with contract terms.
- Lead commercial meetings, produce monthly cost reports and risk assessments for the client.
- Maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders and, where applicable, lead a cost management team.
Required profile
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in engineering cost management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field.
- RICS or AACE certification/member preferred.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
Required skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
- Experience with CostX cost estimating software.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD for design review.
