About the role

San Cristóbal Seguros is looking for two senior professionals to strengthen its underwriting and commercial teams. The first role will coordinate the issuance, subscription and operational management of non‑auto insurance lines. The second role will lead the commercial development of the large‑broker segment, driving growth of high‑value risk portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise issuance, renewal, endorsements and subscription processes for fire, family, commercial, technical, civil liability, and surety lines.
• Analyze risks, monitor production, loss ratios and portfolio profitability within defined authority limits.
• Participate in continuous improvement of non‑auto product lines, optimizing coverage, pricing and underwriting criteria.
• Provide technical advice to commercial management and distribution networks on underwriting and issuance.
• Lead, organize and develop the emission and subscription team.
• Ensure compliance with BCU regulations, internal policies and technical controls.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with major brokers, contribute to product design, policy clauses and reinsurance contracts.
• Identify new business opportunities and co‑insurance schemes to expand the large‑risk portfolio.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Law or related fields.
• Specialization in Insurance, Risk Management or Underwriting is valued.
• At least 5 years of experience in insurance companies, brokers or full‑cycle non‑auto product development.
• Advanced knowledge of Uruguayan insurance regulations and BCU directives.

Required skills

• Power BI or similar reporting and data‑analysis tools
• Proficiency with policy issuance and administration systems
