Concentrates Operator

About the role

The Concentrates Operator will coordinate the end‑to‑end logistics of bulk, container and truck shipments of mineral concentrates. This role ensures safe, efficient transport, proper documentation, and financial settlement of cargo movements.

Key responsibilities

• Organise bulk, container and truck shipments: cargo packing, loading, discharge, transshipment and storage.
• Arrange cargo insurance for transportation and storage periods.
• Prepare and submit commercial cargo invoices, coordinate settlement with Trade Finance, and manage cash and credit exposure with counterparties.
• Work with forwarders, shipping agents, warehouses and surveyors – screen locations, negotiate service agreements, arrange payments and monitor service quality.
• Coordinate weighting, sampling and assaying of concentrate cargos, liaising with surveyors and laboratories.
• Organise hedging of price exposure on concentrate shipments.
• Handle data entry in internal systems and generate exposure and cargo reports.

Required profile

• Advanced student or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, International Business or related fields.
• Fluent English (minimum B2) and excellent Spanish (C2 level).
• Strong numerical ability and logical thinking.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
