Chief Data Scientist

About the role

We are looking for a Chief Data Scientist to lead the design and delivery of AI‑powered chatbot solutions for specialized use cases. The role combines deep expertise in large language models, Python development, and responsible AI practices to create reliable, high‑quality conversational agents.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with product, analytics, and engineering teams to develop a shopping‑assistant chatbot.
• Design and refine prompt‑engineering strategies to improve interaction quality.
• Build LLM‑based agents that integrate with APIs, databases, and external tools via function calling.
• Maintain chatbot reliability and mitigate hallucinations using model evaluation techniques.
• Implement A/B testing frameworks to continuously enhance chatbot performance.
• Apply Responsible AI and compliance principles to ensure ethical and regulatory alignment.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to generate insights and define data requirements for engineering.
• Guide cloud engineering teams on infrastructure needs for AI‑driven solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of professional data‑science experience.
• At least 2 years of people‑management experience, leading teams of 10+ FTEs.
• Strong background in NLP and conversational AI development.
• Proficiency in English (B2 level or higher) with excellent written and spoken communication.
