Cash Operations Specialist

About the role

Veta Virtual is seeking a Cash Operations Specialist to support a high‑growth fintech and cryptocurrency client. This fully remote position focuses on managing daily cash positions, bank reconciliations, and general‑ledger accuracy across multiple international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate and record cash payments accurately across accounts, adhering to internal accounting standards.
• Own the completeness and reconciliation of all cash‑related transactions, ensuring timely and well‑documented entries.
• Create and post general‑ledger journals for bank statement transactions to support month‑end close and audit requirements.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations with full supporting documentation and resolve historic discrepancies.
• Maintain assigned balance‑sheet GL accounts, guaranteeing they are audit‑ready each month.
• Deliver all month‑end close responsibilities for cash operations on schedule.
• Report performance and process KPIs to provide data‑driven insights for management.
• Respond to audit and tax queries with accurate explanations and organized documentation.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Treasury, and Accounts Payable teams to ensure seamless financial operations.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in treasury operations, accounting, or banking with hands‑on bank reconciliation.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, general‑ledger management, and financial accounting standards.
• Strong numeracy and analytical abilities.
