About the role
We are looking for a biology specialist with strong Python skills to design and validate computational biology problems for AI training projects. This freelance position is project‑based and focuses on creating realistic, algorithm‑driven challenges that mimic real‑world research workflows.
Key responsibilities
- Design original computational biology problems that reflect genuine research tasks.
- Develop problem statements that require Python solutions using libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, and BioPython.
- Ensure each problem is computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually within days or weeks.
- Base challenges on real biological data, bioinformatics pipelines, systems biology, or molecular modeling scenarios.
- Validate solutions by implementing and testing them in Python.
- Document problem descriptions clearly and provide verified correct answers.
Required profile
- Degree in Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in research, applied biology, or teaching.
- Strong written English proficiency (C1 level or higher).
