Application Support Engineer – Night & Intermediate Shifts

About the role

Evertec is looking for an Application Support Engineer to ensure continuous and efficient operation of its financial transaction processing platforms. The position covers night and intermediate shifts with a fixed schedule once assigned.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational support for payment processing and financial transaction platforms.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents using tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow or Mantis.
• Run SQL queries for data analysis and problem solving.
• Administer Linux systems via console/bash for monitoring and support.
• Document technical and functional processes clearly and in a structured manner.
• Interact with financial messaging protocols like ISO8583 and payment networks (MasterCard, VISA, Amex).

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in software/application technical support.
• Knowledge of financial, banking or fintech environments.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and meet demanding SLAs.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and customer experience.
