Android Developer

About the role

Applaudo is looking for a Senior Android Developer who is passionate about building high‑quality, scalable mobile applications. You will work in a fast‑paced Agile environment, collaborating with product, UX, QA, and engineering teams to deliver reliable, production‑ready software.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin.
• Implement new features while improving existing functionality.
• Integrate REST APIs and Firebase services such as Remote Config and Feature Flags.
• Write clean, reusable code following MVVM architecture and modern Android best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimise app performance and stability.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated build/release workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Upper‑Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (B2+).

• Android SDK and modern Android libraries.
• MVVM architectural pattern.
• Dependency Injection frameworks (Hilt, Dagger).
• REST API consumption.
• Firebase services (Remote Config, Feature Flags).
