AIT Engineer

About the role

Satellogic is seeking an AIT Engineer to join its high‑complexity manufacturing team, focusing on optomechanical systems for satellite platforms. You will translate engineering requirements into integrated, validated hardware solutions and support the full satellite manufacturing lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead physical and electrical integration of optomechanical payloads, mechanical subsystems, and platform‑level hardware.
• Support planning, definition, and execution of environmental and functional test campaigns, including Thermal Vacuum (TVAC) and mechanical vibration tests.
• Perform fault‑finding and root‑cause analysis on hardware and integrated systems, collaborating with R&D to implement solutions on the shop floor.
• Generate test reports, document Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs), and manage change documentation.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with methodical troubleshooting skills.
• Hands‑on experience in a technical laboratory or cleanroom environment.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and coordinate across engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Familiarity with satellite manufacturing processes and verification & validation (V&V) activities.
