About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Technologist to join our team on a contracted basis at OSE in Maldonado. The position works on a daily regime of 40 hours per week, with the possibility of on‑call duties during evenings, weekends and holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance plans based on equipment manuals.
• Manage documentation related to maintenance programs, ISO‑based quality processes, incidents, indicators and client satisfaction.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with operational areas and supervise external contractors and internal staff.
• Design electrical, electronic and control circuits for improvement and corrective projects.
• Prepare technical and diagnostic reports for electro‑mechanical installations (pumps, compressors, actuators, low‑voltage panels, etc.).
• Support material receipt, control stock levels of critical components and ensure operational continuity.
• Use instrumentation for sensor checks, vibration analysis, signal generation (4‑20 mA), and device verification.
• Connect and configure control devices such as VFDs, PLCs and generator controllers via PC.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Technology issued by the University of the Republic (UDELAR) and UTU.
• Minimum two years of professional experience in mechanical and low‑voltage electrical maintenance and control systems.
• Proven ability to work with Excel and Word, supported by academic or work certificates.
• Valid Category A driver’s license.
