About the role
We are looking for a Sous Chef to join the culinary team at Midland Hotel in Paso de los Toros, Uruguay. The role involves leading the kitchen operations in a high‑volume, upscale hotel environment, ensuring every dish meets the highest standards of quality and consistency.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate daily kitchen activities and supervise the preparation of meals.
- Maintain strict quality control and uphold the hotel’s culinary standards.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and storage of food supplies.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Required profile
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar sous chef or kitchen supervisory role.
- Background in hotel or high‑volume hospitality operations.
- Strong leadership, organizational abilities, and a commitment to excellence.
