Software Engineering Manager

About the role

Blend is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead a high‑impact technology team building enterprise‑grade, full‑stack applications. The role blends hands‑on development with technical leadership, ensuring scalable, cloud‑native solutions that align with the company’s AI‑driven mission.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship through code reviews and design guidance.
• Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack applications using C#/.NET and TypeScript/React.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and cloud‑native services on AWS (Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, etc.).
• Drive architectural decisions and enforce best‑practice standards.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering leadership to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines with GitLab Runner and Terraform.
• Implement observability and monitoring using tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, or Grafana.
• Identify modernization opportunities and continuously improve platform capabilities.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and cross‑team engineering initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem.
• Solid experience building front‑end applications with TypeScript and React.
• Proven experience with AWS services (Aurora, ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, EventBridge).
• Experience with relational databases, SQL, Docker, and containerized environments.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and IaC tools (Terraform, GitLab).
• Familiarity with observability tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, or Grafana.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset.
