Senior Infrastructure Software Engineer – Remote (Argentina/Uruguay/Mexico)

About the role

The Foundational Infrastructure Compute team at Compass is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Software Engineer to help build and evolve a cloud‑native compute platform. This remote role supports teams across Argentina, Uruguay and Mexico, delivering Kubernetes‑based solutions on AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, scale, and maintain a Kubernetes compute platform on AWS EKS using Infrastructure as Code.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to automate deployment and operational tasks with Go or Python.
• Implement monitoring and observability tooling to ensure system health and troubleshoot incidents.
• Partner with application teams to understand compute requirements and guide optimal platform usage.
• Document infrastructure designs, operational procedures, and contribute to the company’s “golden path” for software development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience, preferably with Go or Python.
• Proven experience provisioning cloud resources and managing Kubernetes clusters, preferably on AWS.
• Strong understanding of cloud concepts such as VMs, networking, and storage.
• Fluent English communication skills.
