Senior Data Engineer

About the role

MDVIP’s Analytics team is seeking a Senior Data Engineer who will act as a hybrid technical product owner. You will build and operate the data platform on Azure Databricks while partnering directly with business stakeholders to turn ambiguous questions into production‑ready solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the end‑to‑end data platform on Azure Databricks, covering ingestion, transformation, storage and serving layers.
• Develop and operate data pipelines integrating Salesforce, SQL Server, Snowflake and a cloud‑native payments platform.
• Implement quality and trust mechanisms such as validation checks, anomaly detection, lineage tracking and thorough documentation.
• Write clean, version‑controlled, production‑grade code following software‑engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in physician growth, member services, finance and operations to understand business drivers and translate them into data models, feature tables and curated datasets.
• Act as the technical product owner for your domain: own the backlog, prioritize based on impact and ship iteratively without waiting for external project managers.
• Leverage Claude Code and agentic development patterns to accelerate pipeline generation, testing and prototyping.

• Comfortable working autonomously and owning the full data lifecycle from source to dashboard or model.
