Resident Solutions Architect / Senior Data Engineer (Databricks)

About the role

A Resident Solutions Architect / Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in Databricks is sought to work closely with clients and design, build and scale modern data platforms. This is a hands-on role, not just high-level architecture: you will develop production-grade data solutions while guiding technical strategy and best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end data platforms using Databricks
• Build and optimize scalable data pipelines using Spark and distributed computing
• Translate business needs into robust technical solutions with stakeholders
• Drive best practices in data engineering, including testing, CI/CD and production deployments
• Optimize performance, cost and scalability across data workloads
• Contribute to architecture decisions while staying involved in implementation
• Support and mentor teams on Databricks capabilities and modern data stack approaches

Required profile

• Strong experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics (typically 7+ years)
• Proven track record delivering multiple end-to-end data projects on Databricks
• Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Experience building and deploying production-grade data pipelines
• Consulting mindset, able to work directly with clients

Required skills

• Deep hands-on expertise with Spark and distributed systems, including performance tuning
• Familiarity with CI/CD, MLOps and modern data platform practices
• Nice to have: Databricks certifications (e.g. Data Engineering Professional), experience optimizing performance and cost in large-scale environments, exposure to advanced Databricks features
