About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Officer to join our team on a third‑party basis for OSE in Maldonado. The position involves a 40‑hour weekly schedule with on‑call duties three weeks per month, including weekends and holidays, to address emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electromechanical equipment at OSE‑UGD installations.
• Design electrical and electronic circuits, control loops, and implement improvements or corrective actions.
• Document work according to ISO quality parameters, record incidents, indicators, training, and customer satisfaction.
• Detect, troubleshoot, and repair system failures, ensuring proper operation of indirect contact protections and grounding.
• Evaluate communication components (4‑20 mA, 0‑10 V, pulses, Modbus RTU/TCP‑IP).
• Interpret power, control, and communication schematics.
• Maintain equipment manuals, manage stock of critical components, and support material receipt.
• Use PC interfaces to connect with VFDs, PLCs, generator controllers, and other control devices.
• Operate instrumentation for sensor checks, vibration analysis, and differential breaker inspections.
• Drive company vehicles with a Category A license.

Required profile

• Complete secondary education (UTU) with a focus on Electricity or Electronics.
• Professional training certificate (COCAP) in Electro‑Electronics.
• Certificate from Don Bosco Residential Electricity Workshop.
• Proven experience in low‑voltage electrical maintenance, mechanical maintenance, and automated control systems, supported by employer‑signed references.
• Valid Category A driver’s license.
