Node.js Engineer – Remote (US SaaS Startup)

About the role

We are looking for a senior Node.js Engineer to join a fast‑growing US‑based SaaS startup that simplifies access to essential benefits for frontline workers. The position is fully remote and offers the chance to shape a platform that powers benefits enrollment, eligibility checks and identity verification at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and scale core backend systems and data pipelines.
• Lead end‑to‑end development of critical platform features, ensuring performance and reliability.
• Define architecture and standards for identity management, security and third‑party API integrations.
• Champion reliability engineering, DevOps and infrastructure‑as‑code practices across the team.
• Collaborate with product, design and data teams to drive the platform roadmap.
• Work alongside a small group of experienced engineers on full‑stack initiatives.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven track record delivering complex, scalable projects from concept to production.
• Strong understanding of system architecture and secure software design.
• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands‑on coding.
