About the role

The English Mentor will support teachers and school directors across multiple regions in Uruguay, ensuring the successful implementation of the Ceibal English program. This role combines on‑site guidance, material review, and participation in nationwide training activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑person follow‑up with teachers and directors of all subsystems in the English area.
• Assist teachers in implementing the English curriculum and program resources.
• Participate in training sessions and other formative activities for teachers throughout the country.
• Evaluate, correct, and review various teaching materials and resources.
• Support all activities related to the Ceibal English program.

Required profile

• English teacher with a degree from a public or private institution; graduates of Humanities or related fields are also considered.
• Experience supporting English teachers and, optionally, delivering distance education using technology.
• Proficiency in English at C1 level.
• Preference for candidates familiar with educational technologies, especially those used for language teaching.
• Resident of one of the following departments: Colonia, Lavalleja, Treinta y Tres, Durazno, Florida, Rocha, or Canelones.
