Management Accountant

About the role

The Accounting team in Montevideo is seeking a Management Accountant to focus on the Cash & Debt function. You will ensure accurate trial balances, support month‑end close, and provide comprehensive accounting and reporting for both statutory and group entities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate month‑end close with local and head office teams.
• Run monthly accounting processes and prepare key and non‑key control reports.
• Interact with AP/AR, Treasury, Tax, FP&A and other departments.
• Report balance‑sheet and P&L results, explain variances.
• Perform GL account analyses and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and prepare information for financial statements.
• Support internal and external audits and follow up on audit resolutions.
• Evaluate existing controls and propose improvements.

Required profile

• Public Accountant qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting.
• Fluent English communication.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables.
• Results‑oriented with strong attention to detail.
• Proactive, flexible and able to meet deadlines.
• Independent team player with good written and verbal communication.
• Fast learner comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
