GMP Technician – Cleanroom Operations

About the role

The GMP Technician is responsible for maintaining assigned cleanroom areas in a GMP environment, ensuring they remain clean, orderly, and compliant with safety and SOP standards. The role works closely with team members, supervisors, and customers to support daily operations and meet quality requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of GMP‑controlled areas, including walls, floors, windows, and equipment.
• Perform repetitive cleaning and sanitization tasks following SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Use proper personal protective equipment and adhere to gowning procedures.
• Complete daily FN logs, work orders, and punch‑list items accurately.
• Communicate professionally with leads, supervisors, co‑workers, managers, and customers.
• Support shift lead in completing work orders and reporting maintenance issues.
• Act as a fill‑in for other areas during staff shortages.
• Maintain and care for cleaning equipment and compounds.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• 6 months to 1 year of relevant cleaning or GMP experience (preferred).
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification a plus; valid driver’s license may be required.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, and manuals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and compounds.
• Familiarity with GMP sanitation procedures and documentation.
• Basic safety certifications, including chemical safety.
• Ability to use personal protective equipment and follow gowning protocols.
