Freelance Peer Reviewer - Applied Mathematics

About the role

We are seeking experienced researchers to provide expert peer reviews for academic journals and publishers in applied mathematics. This freelance position allows you to contribute to the scholarly community by evaluating manuscripts and offering constructive feedback.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty and originality of submitted manuscripts.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility.
• Verify that literature reviews are comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
• Analyze results and conclusions for clarity and scientific validity.
• Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback to authors.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD/MD) or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant field.
• At least two peer‑reviewed publications in the last two years.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies and ethical standards.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
