Data Engineer – Long-Term Contract (Talent Pool)

About the role

We are building a talent pool of Data Engineers for long‑term contract opportunities. In this role you will design, develop and optimise data pipelines that enable data‑driven decisions across the organisation, working closely with the Data Science team and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and optimise ETL pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and a Medallion Architecture.
• Identify, integrate and model new data sources to create complex, business‑aligned datasets.
• Improve scalability, data delivery speed and automation of the data infrastructure.
• Monitor data quality, troubleshoot issues and enforce governance and security standards.
• Support Business Intelligence tools and data models, collaborating with leadership, application development, marketing and finance teams.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation and participate in a monthly on‑call rotation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, IT or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on data engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in T‑SQL and experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and data‑warehouse concepts.
• Practical knowledge of Python and PySpark for large‑scale data processing.
