Principal Solutions Architect

About the role

As a Principal Solutions Architect at Sparq, you will lead the design and delivery of cloud‑native, scalable solutions that help clients modernize their technology landscape. You will work with a diverse, collaborative team and have the flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid model.

Key responsibilities

• Define technical roadmaps and architecture strategies for cloud migration, application modernization, and digital solutions.
• Own end‑to‑end solution architecture decisions, balancing long‑term direction with hands‑on design and delivery support.
• Design secure, resilient applications using C#.NET.NET Core, Web APIs, and Microsoft Azure.
• Create authentication and authorization solutions with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Produce architecture diagrams, decision records, and technical plans for engineering and business stakeholders.
• Translate architecture strategies into epics, features, user stories, and technical requirements.
• Establish governance, technical standards, and reusable onboarding patterns across Agile teams.
• Design backend services, API contracts, integration patterns, and data integrity controls for event‑driven systems.
• Optimize data architectures using advanced SQL, data modeling, and query‑plan analysis.
• Support modern web applications with JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks such as Vue.js, React, or Angular.
• Guide legacy‑application modernization using SOLID principles, Clean Architecture, and secure coding standards.
• Leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude via Anthropic) to improve productivity and share best practices.

Required profile

• Extensive experience designing and delivering cloud‑based, enterprise‑scale solutions.
• Strong background in solution architecture, application modernization, and Agile delivery.
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both engineering teams and business stakeholders.
