About the role
The company is looking for a qualified Public Accountant to join the finance team as an Accounting Assistant. The role involves full‑cycle accounting and tax responsibilities, working directly with management and operating with a high degree of autonomy.
Key responsibilities
- Record and analyze accounting entries.
- Perform account reconciliations and support month‑end balance sheet closing.
- Prepare and file tax returns and related liquidations.
- Control and organize supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with the director on financial reporting and other accounting tasks.
Required profile
- Degree in Public Accounting.
- 2–3 years of experience in similar accounting positions.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, balance closing and tax liquidation.
- Ability to work independently, result‑oriented and proactive.
- Residence in San José or nearby areas; occasional travel within the country.
