Android Engineering Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Android Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, and delivery of high‑performance native Android applications. You will work closely with product, design, and backend teams to ship scalable mobile features and ensure a reliable Android experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop native Android apps using Kotlin, following modern Android patterns.
• Define and evolve scalable app architecture with Jetpack components and clean‑architecture principles.
• Collaborate with product managers to translate feature concepts into clear mobile requirements.
• Partner with UX/UI designers to create responsive interfaces that follow Material Design guidelines.
• Integrate mobile features with backend micro‑services via RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
• Write clean, maintainable code, lead code reviews, and enforce engineering standards.
• Create unit and UI tests to ensure stability and regression coverage.
• Profile and optimise performance for speed, battery usage, and memory consumption.
• Support release preparation and publish updates to Google Play Store.

Required profile

• 7+ years of native Android development experience.
• Proven leadership experience guiding engineering decisions and delivering results.
• Strong collaboration skills in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Effective communication with product, UX/UI, and backend teams.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
