Solutions Architect - Platform, Cloud Infrastructure and Security

About the role

SunnyData, a leading Databricks technology partner, is looking for a Solutions Architect specialized in Platform, Cloud Infrastructure and Security. You will design and implement scalable data infrastructure while ensuring security and compliance for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, balancing billable and pre‑sales activities.
• Design, build, and deploy data solutions that support AI, ML, and BI initiatives.
• Collaborate with sales teams to present technical solutions and demonstrate value.
• Manage multiple customer accounts, ensuring timely delivery and reporting outcomes.
• Architect data solutions with best practices in governance, security, and quality.
• Evaluate data sources and recommend inclusion strategies for analytics.
• Lead internal teams, mentor engineers, and educate end users.
• Perform system analysis, resolve data and system defects.
• Test data movement, transformation code, and components for accuracy.

Required profile

• 7+ years as a hands‑on Solutions Architect with data security experience.
• Expertise in two or more areas such as cloud security, encryption, identity management, or access control.
• Experience designing data platforms on AWS, Azure, or GCP using cloud‑security best practices.
• Strong background in data engineering technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) and the Databricks platform.
• Proficiency with DevOps/DevSecOps tools (GitHub/GitLab, SonarQube, Artifactory, Terraform).
• Programming skills in Python, Java or Scala and solid SQL expertise.
• Excellent client‑facing, presentation, and documentation abilities.
• Proven leadership in guiding teams and delivering end‑to‑end solutions.
